Xbox One Spike TV's VGX event will host new showings of several big games

Alongside new content from CD Projekt's anticipated RPG, The Witcher 3 and Respawn's debut shooter Titanfall, Spike promises "exclusive new looks" at Quantum Break, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Broken Age, Dying Light, and Tom Clancy's The Division.

It also teases "additional exclusives to be revealed shortly".

Spike VGX host Geoff Keighley confirmed recently that The Division will be shown with new in-game footage. Respawn Entertainment has also previously promised "big Titanfall surprises" for the event.

And Square Enix teased on Monday that its preparing at least two new trailers for unspecified games for the show - enticing fans as rampant speculation of a PS4 Tomb Raider remake does the rounds. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime will show off an unnamed "upcoming Wii U game", said Spike in an announcement.

VGX airs and streams beginning Saturday, December 7 at 6pm ET / 3pm PT / 11pm GMT.

Sadly I will not be able to watch this live, but will most definitely DVR it and report all the news and teases on here while I watch. The new format for the awards promises to have lots of great news and I'm started to really look forward to it. What do you guys think? Will you watch?
Edit : the show will only stream online, smart devices, or consoles. It will not air live on the Spike Channel. Spike will air highlights on Monday instead.
 
Hmmmm... I'll be watching the recorded. I got some work to do and it'll take some time, so yeah, can't watch. But I'll be watching the recorded, definitely. Man, I wonder what new games they'll have here. Oooh, getting hyped for this! Let's see what Microsoft has for the future!!
 
I might try to catch a hold of this, but I might've something to do by that time. Ah well, there's always a record for it and besides, news sites will go bonkers and showcase what's going on in the show anyway. I'm really curious what they're going to show. Nintendo says the Nintendo USA president is showing something new for Wii U, so seems it's the show of the new stuff. Oh yeah, can't wait to see what's in the show.
 
I'll try and catch this one. I might be doing something at the day but hey, if I can catch it, I'll catch it. But man, hyped up for this one. I'm wondering what are these so-called "new" games will be shwon. The future shall be shown on Saturday!
 
I'll watch the recorded. I'm excited like the rest of you as well. Wii U, PS4, Xbox One, whatever console will show new games, just show it! This is going to be a mammoth :-D I'm excited to see what else is coming. And hey, more Titanfall videos is great as well ;-D
 
Is the recorded video out on youtube? I might watch this later instead. I still have lots of things to do. Lots of missions to finish. Well I'm looking forward to this. I want to know what's new and what's the latest about the games that are available.
 
Awesome! It is great Spike Tv is getting involved with this because with it, it will definitely bring in new gamer! I can't wait to catch this or if am not able to watch it on TV, hopefully it will be released on Youtube!

That's what I'm guessing it is as well--which isn't really a big surprise. Then again, it does say he's going to be talking about an unnamed game. It really makes me think it could be something that would somewhat appeal to Spike's crowd at VGX.

I just want to see some Smash Bros gameplay. Maybe we'll see a return to Starfox
 
I'm going to watch it but god knows that I can't stand the Dorito Dew man so hopefully there will be less of him this year. The awards have been better though in recent years and I've been agreeing with a lot of the winners or at least understanding why certain games won. I'm hoping to see Watchdogs, The Witcher 3, Cyber Punk 2077, and the game that caught my attention at E3 for the Xbox One Sunset Overdrive.
 
I'm watching it. I haven't been a fan of Spike's VG Awards for awhile, but it falls on my day off and I am curious about some of the games that will be shown. I heard that this year it was done more like a festival or expo than just one day of awards.
 
I'm super excited about The Witcher 3 and curious to see what other titles might be showed off at VGX. I normally don't really like the awards and I check out streams that comment on it like VGA (who are a great show that will cover the awards) I'm not into the celebrity hosts and I'm not a fan of Geoff but I might watch it live this year if only to see the trailers.

I would love to see the return of Starfox announced. It's a franchise that should've been in regular rotation by now and probably handled by Retro.
 
It would be amazing if Starfox came back but I would also like to see some Zelda, along with Witcher 3 gameplay and Sunset Overdrive. I'm also looking forward to right after the awards since when they end that's when the gameplay trailers are usually released by devs. It's going to be a good couple of days.
