Xbox One Square Enix reveals a new Hitman in the works.

That's what I liked about Hitman and the environment really encouraged hiding--corners, nooks, shadows, doorway, all of that good stuff.

Exactly, the game is the best when it comes to stealth and assassination. I love the series. I still have the previous games on my computer.

I haven't played Absolution, but I do love stealth games and the original Hitman games are among my favorites.

I loved Absolution! I hope they keep it along that line of progress and improve upon it.



Isn't "next gen" current gen and current gen "last gen" by now since all the consoles are out now?

Ah right. Well, then let me rephrase the question: I wonder, is this new Hitman game a reboot or a complete sequel designed for the current-gen? Maybe Square Enix is slowly peering towards leaving the last-gen. But we'll know for sure in the coming months.

You got to play it man! It's really a way to see how the Hitman will pave its way in the future. While it doesn't retain the open-world-ness of the previous ones, it's still fun since it has the cinematic feel to it. And its story is just epic. Also,.... I'm not going to spoil you hahahah. Get it! Best if it's on sale.

Initially thought to be cancelled, I'm glad that there will be another new Hitman game. I enjoyed Absolution when it came out and thought that it was a fresh take on the Hitman franchise. I'll definitely be looking out for this game now. IO interactive had previously worked on games like Absolution and Kane and Lynch 2, and in my opinion did a good job for both the franchises.

Like what thedoodseven says, will this game be a complete sequel or a reboot? I hope it's a sequel. I'm interested how they'll put the story forward. But if it's a reboot... well, just hope they can make it awesome like Absolution.
