The First Details On Telltale's Borderlands Game

"You never really play what actually happened, you're playing this Big Fish version of what happened," Telltale's Kevin Bruner said of his studio's Borderlands spinoff, Tales from the Borderlands, at a panel at SXSW on Saturday.

Interesting, interesting. So this new Borderlands game will have us play (maybe) the events of what these two will say differently. So it's like the "He Said, She Said" thing, where we go from one way an event happened to the other way. Hahaha, interesting. What's your thoughts guys?
 
This looks really interesting. Especially because we might get to play them both separately and have two stories at a time to finish. Sounds good to me. I'd love to see more. Did they release any game play trailers yet.
 
I checked. Nope, no trailers. The developers just revealed the details on the story but no check on the environment, system, graphics or gameplay. Anyway, yeah, interesting. It reminds me of a movie I'm watching now: Rashomon, on Hulu. It's a Japanese era film about the murder of a man and rape of a woman told from four different perspectives. These 4 stories don't always agree with each other and it's hard to tell who's telling the truth. While some details are consistent, some can really make you wonder where the truth lies. So with this game, we're going to see the story from two perspectives. Hahahah, this is going to be interesting.

Awesome man. This is going to really up Telltale's game (pun intended). That "He Said, She Said" part is where it will really give Telltale that chance to make our choices even more lucrative than ever. Cannot wait!
 
i think its good filler to either tell what happened r could have happened between boarderlands1-2 or 2-(whatever comes next) we had a big storyline left open at the end of 2.. enough open storyline it could be told and viewed from every vault hunter and even the key characters(npc's) that made up boarderlands.. you could even look at it from jacks side or the bandits/bad guys..

i love the borderlands series and will proably get the storyline game just to see how they fill in or in corp it. i also cant wait till they release then ext title.. and would expect something soon or at e3... if microsoft was smart they would ride that horse to the bank instead of getting behind titanfall so hard.. boarderlands2 beat out everyone the year it launched even cod as a fps.. its a title that brings allot to the table and money and talk.
 
I read this and it's actually AFTER 2, my friend. So you get to know what happened after Borderlands 2 (by the way, don't spoil us the ending. I'm playing it right now, and I've just started). So think: the two protagonist, Fiona and Rhys, are telling their own interpretations of the same story in the game. So while we'll know what happened after Borderlands 2, we can't tell who's telling the truth. Hahahha XD Boy, oh boy, this one is going to be interesting.

The movie sounds nice. Well back to the topic. I this this game will be really good. Just hope we can see a trailer soon.
 
E3 2014 is one way we'll see new trailers. As for the game, yeah, it's gonna be really good. This will be Telltale's first time to make a game that doesn't have the consistent truth. I mean, if we're gonna play from two perspectives, how do we know who's telling the truth? We'll be wondering for ourselves what's really happening. Man, my head's gonna go ballistic with this! XD hahahaha.
 
Yeah men. Mine's going to be ballistic too. Man, stories like this just make you go boggle into craziness 'cuz if we don't know the truth, it'll just make you think even after the game. Hahahaha, Telltale's really going to make us all go crazy to really see what is true or not.
 
Haha. Well same here. Anyways, whatever the new game will look like and how the game will be it will be a great game.

Right? Who is telling the truth? We don't know. This will be the Borderlands game where everything is NOT what it seems.
 
Makes sense. marthyrocks is right. Who's telling the truth? Well we don't know anything for sure unless we have a concrete answer from them.

Hahaha. You too huh? Man, that game. Well, we'll see what Telltale has packed for us when it's out. Better hope it's not too crazy XD
