Both consoles have things going for them and things going against them. There are things that I really like about the PS4 and things that I like about the Xbox One and I'll eventually end up buying both of them. The one thing that is keeping me away from the Xbox One is the fact that I have to buy a Kinect. I don't want a Kinect and now that Microsoft has made sure that you don't need one to make the console work I don't see why I have to buy it. Drop the Kinect and I wouldn't hestitate to buy it.

Yeah, been reading about the whole Kinect issue. I think you make a point there. Why do we need the Kinect? PS4 has done good without the EyeToy being necessary. Maybe Microsoft wants to keep the notion about XB1 being the all-in-one? And plus, the next-gen Kinect is coming to the PC as an option. Would've liked it if Xbox One had the option like that too.
