Xbox One Walmart Cancelling Xbox One Preorders

Buyers beware of pre orders. I pre order my xbox one months ago and it was fully paid for on walmart.com. 3days ago I receive an email that Walmart has "run out of stock" and canceled my order. Unfortunately, your order was canceled because the item the item you’ve requested is currently out of stock. Unfortunately, we are unable to estimate when an item will be back in stock. Please visit the site periodically to see if an item is back in stock.

You can also visit your local Walmart store to see if they have the item in stock.

I contacted them and was told Microsoft canceled my order! Beware if you pre ordered from them it is not guaranteed. Heads up....

Thats weird. My friend preorded from there and told him he could not pay it off. Even if he left $.01 that would be ok. Just plain weird.
 
Make sure he checks his order. The customer service is really bad. I am in a desperate search for a preorder now. Forget ebay they are really overcharging..might have to just wait it out....bummed.
 
I've strongly dislike WalMart since working for them while in college in 95, and things keep getting worse (from what I hear and read)...

Sorry about your pre-order....those dolts.
 
Thankfully I purchased mine from an actual Walmart store, not Walmart.com. Hopefully my order is still on track!

Wow i really hope this doesnt happend to me, ive been going every week to make a payment and they havent said anything to me so i assume i still have mine
 
If I were U guys I would be callign and double checking lol

Yeah, same. I owe about 100 dollars and I'm PIF. I already heard rumblings about the Walmart store I'm going to not being open for a midnight release.

i figured this was going to be the case with walmart...

every other seller had a set amount and they had a lock out once that number was reached.. microsoft just took every pre order they could with no lock out times or media(news) feeds about no more systems avail.

target,gamestop,amazon all had big chunks of time that no consoles could be sold than a few would pop up. walmart never experianced any sale locks.. and to this day still have xbox one cards for purcase on the shelf.

you watch if you go in store to dispute or get money back they will give you store credit or something. keeps sales in house. sorta how gamestop works with pre order.. once they have your money you can shuffle it but dont ask for it back.
 
well for i personally went to my walmart and pulled out a 499$ xbox one slip out of their cardboard box display they had and and put money down on it and then went back a week later and they were all gone so im going to assume i for sure got my copy of the xbox one
 
I've never heard of something like that ,but I am not surprised. I would actually expect something like this from GameStop though. They are god awful at handling pre orders.

gamestop was on point with pre orders.. they stopped pre orders and opened them as systems were released... it caused allot of problems for customers who were not in on the early pre orders you basically had to check in regularly to see if they had gotten a release of more.

if anything walmart,bestbuy,target dropped the ball hardcore...

gamestop/amazon were hit/miss a few times when things were avaliable.
 
Say what you will about the pre-order of video game related items at Wal Mart. But where else can you buy a bag of socks handcrafted by tiny little chinese hands for only five bucks? :)

Im sorry how did Best Buy drop the ball? So far I havent heard anything bad about Best Buy...

I was just gonna say. I jave heard they are going to be the ones in a retail store OTHER than GameStop that will be getting a ton of extra consoles and will fullfill their pre-orders.
 
I have to say, I haven't had many issues with Best Buy and Gamestop in regards to preorders. I preordered Forza and an extra controller from Gamestop and I'm PIF. Don't anticipate having problems getting them on the release date. I'm still concerned with my Walmart order. Hope they don't mess up... That wouldn't be cool!

the 3 mentioned above never stopped taking pre orders .. that is dropping the ball to me. if you leave an open end on something with a quanity allotment..

amazon,gamestop,microsoft stores and others when reached a specific number could no longer take on pre orders.. the 3 mentioned above left an open door for pre orders. think off all the consoles pre ordered/sold in the time frame when other places were on lock.

heck imagine the sales numbers if gamestop,amazon,microsoft sotres didn't stop pre orders on mutiple occasions... and just upsold past the allotment.. microsoft and sony tried to go about itthe right way to not cause issues like previous consoles launch dates.
 
Spoke with walmart they gave me 20 gift card!!!WOW never will order from them again. Managed to get a preorder with target hope that doesn't get screwed up as well.
 
Double check when I spoke to them was told all orders were accidentally cancelled
