Xbox One Walmart Cancelling Xbox One Preorders

I would say Target is a little more responsible then Walmart. I would call if I were you

Not a bad idea. I'm calling the walmart store I purchased my One from the night the PS4 is released. Since no one can give a definitive answer on if they are doing a midnight opening or not, I figure they'll know something that night. Unfortunately, I'll have to pretend I'm purchasing a PS4 tho :( lol

Well since they ar eopen 24/7, im sure they will be open for you to get one. But i wouldnt expect a big party lol

This is exactly the sort of thing I'm avoiding by not buying brand new. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have an Xbox One or a PS4 sooner rather than later. I'm just not willing to go through all this nonsense over a video game console, and that's saying something because I consider myself a dedicated lifelong gamer.

You just order it and it comes. Only a guess, but chances are 99% of us that did preorder will not have any problems at all and get them when we should.

I would rather order and have a chance then wait months and maybe even not get one by the end of the year or longer. I forgot what I
wanted some years ago, but I choose to wait and it was 6-7 months before I could get one and I ended up buying top dollar on Ebay.
I am not going thru that again.

I'm not in a huge hurry to get one, though. I'd prefer 6 or 7 months to three years, which is about how long it's taken in the past (if not longer). Plus, that time will give them the opportunity to release more games and work out any kinks with both the system and the games themselves. I can't even conceive of getting one any sooner than the Spring, and that's a bit ambitious anyway, so it's not like I'm going to be disappointed if I have to wait.

I was under the impression when I pre-order something it is an agreement that I am guaranteed the thing I pre-order? Why the hell would I pre-order something at all then? Why not just purchase upon release? You are getting my money and I am getting a guarantee of availability. It is a simple rule. Really hard to screw that up. Pre-orders are in place to help the business make wise purchase orders. Nonsense.

Wow, that's just.. wow. Couldn't imagine pre-ordering something only to be told, "sorry, we're all out." Man. But you can't take on infinite pre-orders when you're dealing with finite products.. That was just terrible management on their part. I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you OP, it's a shame.
