Xbox One What can Microsoft do to boost sales?

I don't know about getting rid of the Kinect and "entertainment system". I honestly know of A LOT of people who chose to go with the Xbox One for the simple fact that it is an all in one system. I think to increase their sales they need to get more "exclusive" games.

All my friends did as well. I don't know anyone that bought a PlayStation 4.

Once again we get hyperbole of some "horrible start" by Microsoft despite the fact they are doing better than the 360 at this point, they are selling a ton of software, and the Xbox division is contributing to Microsoft's profit.

Should they drop the price to better sell against the PS4? Sure they can. But let's cut the hyperbole and crap here. The Xbox One did not have a horrible start. And in NA its only sitting about 400k behind the PS4 and Titanfall well outsold Infamous. Its not exactly sucking wind here.

I think that it should enable the DRM already and pay some companies to release a few good exclusives!

Hmm. They should but it would have been better if they had some free games added to it.

Maybe they should make the prices for the games a bit lower. They should also release some decent exclusives.

You hit it right there. "Exclusives". Me, I went for the PS3 (and in the future, the PS4) because of the exclusive games. Gran Turismo 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, Demon's Souls, inFamous 2... it's the exclusives. If MSFT can snag exclusives that'll make me think of the XB1, then that's how it can make me buy, and maybe it'll make future buyers as well.

Microsoft's exclusives mostly cater to a western audience which is the most vocal. Like with Japan if you've got RPGs and fighters on your console and maybe some platformers you win. In the west the fan base wants what you're offering and everything else and Microsoft might not be able to deliver on all genres in abundance for some time.

That's MSFT for ya. That's why as I've noticed, 360 had lesser exclusives. Almost any "best-of" 360 lists always have third-party games a lot of us have on other platforms. So yeah, you're right. MSFT's gonna have a quite a hard time trying to branch out from their thing with the west.
