Xbox One Xbox 360 or Xbox One?

The Xbox One price point and lack of game library should be enough to let you know the 360 may be the console for you at the moment. The 360 has so many amazing games that you will get lost in. However, the Xbox One is pretty great itself, so it is ultimately up to you.

My vote would be the Xbox 360.

Agreed. Exactly. As I said. There's many, many games to play right now on the Xbox 360. So what if the Xbox 360 gets obsolete? At least by that time, Xbox One gets a lot of games. And again, save some cash a month for the Xbox One. Problem solved!

At the moment, the 360 is still superior to its sucessor.

Let's be honest, consoles basically have no games until a long time after launch. This applies to both PS4 and X1 currently.

Exactly. That's why I went with the PS3 (just to play GTA V). And up to this day, i'm still enjoying the PS3 ;-D Lots to play! So dood, go for the 360,.

Yup, I agree. The 360. Look, there may be an emulator but that will take years. And besides, Xbox One has yet to port all the great last-gen games so might as well experience 360 in its last years of glory before moving on to the Xbox One.

Hahahaha, you went all that way to get GTA V huh? You're one crazy gamer, thedoodseven.

I would go with the 360, simply because it is cheaper, a very good gaming system and it has a LARGE library of games... Some of which are much cheaper now, but still have great value (Halo series, Gears of War, etc...).

I don't think the Xbox 360 is a good investment right now, since it's an old generation console and will soon wear out. Save some money for the latest Xbox and you will get to play games on it for years!

If graphics is your priority get an Xbox One. If you actually want stuff to play and have a lot of stuff you need to get around to the 360 is a no brainer. I wouldn't say you need to experience the 360 before the Xbox One, but if you're going to have a lot of time to play games before interviews and working get yourself a 360.

I say Xbox 360 for the games. You'll be extremely busy with the vast library of titles to go through.

If you want to need to change your console anyway in the next 3 years, go for the 360. If you want true next gen, high performances and stunning visuals, buy yourself and Xbox One right away.

I agree. my vote still goes to 360 as well. It's mainly because of the games available on it.

Just first think it over. Go over the specs and the games available (I guess that would narrow down your decision)

Yes, I've considered it and I'm not really in it for the specs and games available (at least for now) but I'm more worried about the upcoming years since the 360 is basically old gen now and I'm afraid that in a few years time Microsoft will drop it off sooner than later.

Strongly suggest 360 for now since you're still getting into the whole Xbox gaming thing.

Thanks man. But I'm worried about the longevity of the 360, sure it might last maybe a couple more years before Microsoft decides to dump it all together, but I'm afraid it might happen sooner.

If you don't care about graphics performance and just want to pass time then I think you should go for the 360. The X360 has a lot of games released and the games that are about to come out are also available on the 360 so it's still going to last a while. Also, the amount of games in the 360 library should keep you occupied until after you graduate and by then there will be a lot of games on the X1.

That's a tough one. Part of me thinks that you should just go ahead and get the newest and greatest thing. BUT, I think it's a good idea to start with the 360. To save cash, why not buy a good used one? Then, you won't be out as much money if you do decide to upgrade soon.

Main difference is that the One can play xBox One games, the 360 can't.
And the 360 can play xBox 360 games, the One can't. :-(
So the ENTIRE CONSOLE is different!

MS screwed the pooch with backwards compatibility.

Def go with the Xbox One! Sure the 360 has lots of games but in a few months the XB1 will have lots of great games and the 360 will be a old paperweight. Invest in the future...

I would say Xbox 360 because you can play with people online, (It's pretty easy finding people, you can also ask your friends if they have Xbox Live) But first you need Xbox Live. To get Xbox live you need a Microsoft account. There is a one month trial that you can play online for free, but after that you have to pay for live. It's not like every month, you have to pay. You'll still have a lot of people to play with on the xbox 360. Xbox Live is gigantic and a lot of people continue to play the xbox 360 instead of upgrading.

There isnt amazing games on the One yet.
But if you have money to blow, treat yourself to the Xbox one.
It is a great console to be honest.

Definitely the 360, I love mine and I've had it for 5 years with no problems. I've got like 45-50+ games all for the Xbox 360, there's so many titles for it why would you want any other console?
