Xbox One Xbox loyalists want DRM policies back!?

Guess what, not everyone has access to internet. I know when I moved and had no internet, I played my Xbox to kill the time. It'd be annoying if that can't happen again.

The bad news for people that have no internet is that they wont be able to play 60% of the games as they require net for main features anyways. Games such as Final Fantasy XV, Destiny, Titanfall and many others which i cannot remember of by heart. Forza 5 was online required yet has been changed to now not require it past first setup of the game.

People mainly want the game sharing features out of this.

That's pretty darn stupid and I kind of doubt that it was people that actually like the Xbox that tried that. I would have to say it probably consisted of anyone who wanted the Xbox One to completely crash and burn.
I know Microsoft isn't going to turn around again but still, why would they try to ruin it for so many people that may not have acess to interent all the time.

If anyone legitimately hopes that the Xbox One goes back to the DRM policy they were originally going to employ, I suggest you re-think that position. Not only was the DRM policy restricting and, well, fairly unreasonable, it also paled in comparison to the freedom offered by the PS4. From a business standpoint, it would essentially be suicide.

Split will likely be digital vs. physical. Physical will feel like today. For digital we'll push features we discussed at E3.

This really is the way it should have been handled all along.

I am one of those that prefer the digital future outlined by Microsoft from the beginning of the XB1. Logic dictates that for some of those nifty features to exist, DRM is necessary, but those restrictions should never have been imposed on the physical discs. Looks likely that we will at least have the option now.
