Xbox One Xbox One Downloadable Games Offer 1,000 Gamerscore

Awesome! This is great especially since i'm sure to pick up a few downloadable titles close to launch. This is something that I personally think is long overdue and should have been implemented on the 360 a long while back. Ah well, better late than never!

Better late than never (I totally agree). But, if you think about it, isn't Microsoft getting a bit stricter this time. I really hope that they can lower this down to match Xbox 360's 400g. Either way I like that they also added this. I hope that they can add more games.

Realistically nothing more than bragging rights like Trophies on the PS. Although now we have Xbox Live rewards so you get small amounts of Live currency for adding a certain amount of gamerscore monthly. Also we've seen that during promotional giveaways, gamerscore has been a qualifying factor.

So that's what the Gamerscore is eh? I've been getting some of them when I achieved some stuff in Fallout 3 on the PC. I see. Man, I only have 100 as of the moment. Well, I'll add more when I get the Xbox One. I know Games of Windows Live will be going out in July next year so yeah...
