Xbox One XBox One graphics much better than PS4.

My neighbor has a PS4 while I have an XBox One and we play together at least once a week. He also agrees that the graphics are better on my system. But I did meet some people who say that PS4 is equal if not better in graphics. I wanted an opinion here - which one is better?

It depends on the games, and pretty much on the set-up as well. You also have to take into account the resolution of the games. While the Xbox One looks better in some games, you also have to remember that the Xbox One hasn't supported 1080p yet in some games. So it looks really good when displayed in the regular HDTVs whereas with a PS4, with bigger resolution, it'll look washed-out. But try displaying the PS4 in the proper display and you'll understand why those people who said the PS4 is equal or better in graphics was right. And also, what HDTV and what HDTV does your neighbor have set-up for your respective systems? It's all in the set-up.

I agree, especially on the resolution. Without a good set-up, of course the PS4 will look a bit washed-out compared to the Xbox One. After all, some of the PS4 games support a bigger resolution than the Xbox One gamers (remember that some developers outright said some of their games support up to 720p in the Xbox One). So sometimes, yeah, some gamers will claim the Xbox One looks better. But for those that do say the PS4 gamers are equal to better, then they have the set-up just right. Try putting the Xbox One into the same proper set-up as the PS4, then you'll see the Xbox One doesn't look as good as it used to be.

But the graphics matter even for Katamari. It's not technically wonderful but its odd graphics are a part of its charm.

I think so far the PS4 has proven itself superior due to more native 1080p games and even games performing at 60fps. X1 isn't bad or anything, though.

See here fellas? These guys just prove it: PS4 has better graphics than the Xbox One, at least for now. PS4 games don't look much if you don't have the right set-up. But as Claptrap and KN1GHTMARE tell ya, PS4 has been able to project games beautifully at 1080p. Xbox One hasn't gotten to the 1080p territory. But as Takedon said, we'll see in a few years. And also, at least developers (like the Sniper Elite dev said), they were able to identify the structure of the Xbox One's graphical prowess early on and they're working their way with it. So are the other developers. But right now, right here... PS4 wins the graphic battle. But will PS4 still win in the next few months? THAT'S the true battle.

$400-$500 is not gonna buy a gaming pc. While I can afford a gaming PC I still prefer the console crowd. Less elitist snobs. I don't recall anyone asking for a comparison to a PC. When that day comes I'm sure someone would appreciate your input.

probably depends on how you budget the pc and what specs would you want to make it of.

yeah ps4 is better so far, yeah pc is better than ps4. thats as far as graphics go. do pc's allow you to whack a game straight in and just play it without having to spend time messing around with settings and even the chance that the game wont even run on your system ? does a high end pc cost 400-500 $ ?
