Xbox One XBox One graphics much better than PS4.

What did you expect? It's a damn XB1 forum. And I think the PC is also better :D and will have superior graphics forever.

But the graphics matter even for Katamari. It's not technically wonderful but its odd graphics are a part of its charm.

I think so far the PS4 has proven itself superior due to more native 1080p games and even games performing at 60fps. X1 isn't bad or anything, though.

Ah right... I forgot. It was intentionally made like that. And yes, PS4 has proven superior when it comes to getting the games display at 1080p. It only looks bland and lighter than the X1 'cuz we're not looking at the PS4 games in proper set-up.

And boy, it has escalated quickly indeed. Somebody just mentioned the PC, and we're in for a long fight about current-gen consoles VS the PC.

Back on topic. I agree the PS4 has the edge on graphics. I don't think most would see a difference unless you freeze frames and compare them or play on a very large screen.

This is definitely not true.

The PlayStation 4 graphics are way better than the Xbox One. I own both systems, and what i am telling you is a fact. And the margin is only going to get wider. The PlayStation 4 is a much more powerful system. Developers are going to be able to do more for the PlayStation 4 in the long run.

So if you think Microsoft is losing now, it is going to be worse in the future.

It depends on the games, and pretty much on the set-up as well. You also have to take into account the resolution of the games. While the Xbox One looks better in some games, you also have to remember that the Xbox One hasn't supported 1080p yet in some games. So it looks really good when displayed in the regular HDTVs whereas with a PS4, with bigger resolution, it'll look washed-out. But try displaying the PS4 in the proper display and you'll understand why those people who said the PS4 is equal or better in graphics was right. And also, what HDTV and what HDTV does your neighbor have set-up for your respective systems? It's all in the set-up.

I agree... I think it depends on the set up and the game.

We'll see. I'm just wondering if MSFT can pull off a 3DS and make that price slash.

Why argue about this? If we want graphics, we go for PC anyway :D.

Yeah, haha. if you want everything in a game you can always go for a PC version

Hahaha. No argument there. Ah... the PC: the only word you need to say when everybody's comparing the graphics of the consoles to spark it further XD

I believe the quality of graphics is also dependent on the TV you are using. The LED ones look absolutely different than LCDs. The viewing distance also affect the quality.

PC gaming post very late-2000s has been great. There was a period where you always had to make sure your PC could a game as opposed to putting the disc in and playing. Like depending on when the game came out you typically needed something else for your PC as opposed to either getting the next console in line or the version of the game for your current console.

The main thing I care about from PC gaming is modding. The concern for graphics should only exceed the concern for great gameplay if you're playing a genre where you just can't **** up the gameplay.

Well, it depends on the games and the monitor or TV that you're using. Some games are made with graphics that look great no matter what console you play it on and some games just look terrible also. But honestly, I don't think there's so much of a difference between both consoles graphics.

The PS4 will always have an edge over the Xbox one due to the PS4 having GDDR5 VRAM (Video Memory) as compared to the Xbox One's old DDR3 VRAM . GDDR5 VRAM allows the PS4 to transfer data at a much higher bandwidth when compared to the Xbox one's DDR3 VRAM, nearly 3 times as fast. Unless Microsoft comes out with a second revision of the Xbox one, the PS4 wins the console wars.

Spec wise the PS4 is technically more powerful than the X1 so multiplats will look and perform better on the PS4. This has already been proven by a few games released these past few months. Sure, DX12 support on the X1 is going to boost the X1's graphical capabilities no doubt but it won't help a lot. Whatever it is, the X1 is still limited by hardware. I know that games will improve performance wise on the X1 in the future but I try to keep my expectations realistic.
