Xbox One Xbox One Won't Have Twitch Broadcasting Right Now

Twitch got band on ps 4 because nudity, let hope it doesn't happen to xbox

Yeah, I heard about this one. I don't know what went into the minds of the people who decided to do a live show. Ewww. All because of The Playroom. Let's really hope it doesn't happen to Xbox.

I know right? Yeesh, what is it with people these days? Treating Twitch like it's a live show for them? They were able to exploit The Playroom. They've really got get people that do these live shows out of the systems. It hampers the chance for responsible gamers to broadcast something nice for everybody.

After using it on PS4 I am disappointed, but I'm also very i pressed with the potential of Upload Studio and the integration of Skybox.

Well the problem with Twitch on the PS4 and probably what's going to happen with Twitch on the Xbox One is that the quality of the streams won't be that great unless you're a producer i.e. someone who is makes money on the site. Those streamers like Angry Joe and someone mentioned Video Games awesome will have pretty stream quality on the consoles. But there are things that Microsoft can improve from the PS4 version the most important one being the chat. You can barely see it on the PS4.

Well, Sony did see the potential in broadcasting so they integrated it into the PS4. I don't think they were gonna make it a full-scale production or something. Same with the Xbox One. But yeah, as KN1GHTMARE said, Xbox One has the Upload Studio so that's a plus right there. I think this Twitch and the Upload features are for the casuals, really.

Twitch itself isn't for casuals, but putting it on the consoles and ready to use helps it lean towards the casual base. The reason these mishaps like live shows occur is because there was really no filter between who could and couldn't do a show. You PS4 or Xbox One has the power and a camera device then go for it. The filter before was having a computer with enough juice, a capture card, and the set up to run your own show. It was still something roughly anyone could do, but not everyone was willing to go through the trouble.

When you had to have a card and know how to hook all your stuff and manage it yourself that was the perfect way to weed out people will actually use Twitch for its intended purpose and those who wouldn't. No one would go through doing all of that just to set up the Kinect and helicockter live or whatever.

Sony one up'd microsoft on this one.. I just hope they hurry it up and don't take a year to intergrate stuff like this from now. I have no problem with it not launching with the system, but I think they need to get on it and at least give us a release date for an update.

Well after all the Playroom fiasco on Twitch, I don't think Microsoft have been one upped. It's more of a case of dodging a bullet here.

Exactly. It's kinda like, there are people out there who would love to do a broadcast but just don't have the time to do it. Yup, you can tell 'em this and that, but in the end, they won't do it. That's why Sony and Microsoft integrated features like this to help casuals tread through a new aspect in the gaming world. Now, just press that SHARE button and we can have a nice little broadcast.

I had to look it up to. I could care less about this app. Posting videos of an unconscious woman being stripped? Way to stay classy, people.

Some people these days... they just know how to exploit something that's popular and nice. There's just no way to keep it under control. I just hope the companies can do something to keep it all under control, so there won't be anymore of these stuff.

Yeah, I agree. Maybe they saw it coming? Either way, we will still see Twitch enabled for Xbox One. Then, we'll see a playroom-like fiasco happen. Microsoft better be prepped for that.

We'll see it enabled, I can tell. I know it will be enabled. But what I'm wondering if Microsoft can do their best to regulate the activities. Let's hope they can, 'cuz if I start seeing a live show in one broadcast... Playroom fiasco shall ensue again.

Oh it'll definitely be enabled. Twitch is a pretty big deal now--pro gaming is also shown on it--so I can see it being brought to Xbox One soon. Your other point is the important one: how to regulate it.

They could limit it to Gold members and/or make people who want to stream run a captcha gauntlet of the worst looking captcha ever...10 in a row. Then ban users who act inappropriately.

Well Twitch itself isn't ready to have that kind of base yet seeing as what happened with the PS4 but it'll be a great feature for the Xbox One when it is up and running. I agree though, the thing with Twitch was a casual gamer couldn't really broadcast and get the attention that they can now. You need the capture card and the camera equipment, it wasn't cheap to really get on and do a show on par of someone like Angry Joe. Now it's easy which is why we had incidents like the douche who stripped his wife on cam.
