I'm listening to Of Monsters and Men. Supurb music for chilling out and working on a website. What's some music you guys have been listening to? What's your favorite genre. I've been into Indie for awhile and probably will be for the duration.

Escort, Mika, Murphy Lee, Rittz, Camper Van Beethoven.

The usual; mostly Animals as Leaders and Periphery, with some Dillinger Escape Plan, Nine Inch Nails, and Deftones in the mix.

This has been a staple for me lately: Amazing performance by Tosin Abasi on 8 String guitar, Wave of Babies, EMGtv - YouTube
At first I thought it was just a bit of an average AaL song, (and of course, their "average" songs are still top-tier) but it's definitely a tune that benefits from re-listening. It shows how much Tosin was experimenting with key changes and the slap technique that became a mainstay for Weightless. I like this song because of the variety; there's melody in certain segments, dissonance in others, heavy-hitting djent, and an overall eerie feel. Oh, and like everything else they do, the guitar work and musicianship is unparalleled.

Just got the new Kanye album. Really catchy, especially if you liked some of his stuff on his last album and the one with Jay-Z

I'm kicking it with alot of old school early 90s grunge of late. I guess I'm nostalgic for jr high. Yuck, jr high sucked. The music and tv was great though.

I think I have been waxing nostalgia of late. I have been listening to really golden oldies...60s, very little of the 70s, a whole bunch of of monster ballads of the rockin' 80s, some of 90s and even a few current hits. I do not have a specific genre to listen to so I go where my mood carries me. Is it not amazing how music can make you feel things nearly forgotten?

I changed it up. Now I'm listening to Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper. I saw La Bamba for the hundredth time yesterday and it caused me to not be able to get the sleepwalk song out of my head.

I actually have started to like Of Monsters and Men, espeically with that one song "Mountain Sound". I think the female singer has a really nice voice that you can easily listen to.But verall, I'm more into chilled electronic/trance music from artists like DJ Tiesto, DJ Krush, Hint, Felix Da Housecat, Anenon, etc. My favorite song right now however, is "Sweater Weather".

I'm listening to a bit of Imagine Dragons now a days. Their song Radioactive really brought them into spotlight. They're pretty new and most of their songs are quite good. Definitely worth a listen.

I also have been listening to a lot of the band "Of Monsters And Men". My favorite song by them right now is Dirty Paws. Imagine Dragons is pretty chill too.

I've been listening to a lot of Slightly Stoopid on youtube. They rawk. I've also been listening to "The music of video games" playlists on youtube. Also, I have been thumping a lot of my old At The Drive In albums on CD.

Well my musical tastes seem to change every month so in the past year ive gone from Rock, Pop, Oldies, Metal, and other genres im sure haha. Right now ive been listening to a lot of Electronica stuff like Royksopp, Daft punk, and some low key bands that are similar to them. I feel like i may be coming out of my Electronica phase soon though because ive been getting into Mika's music and even though im not very sure what genre he is, but it definitely isnt electric or anything like the normal stuff ive been listening to. My music can also have to do with what game im playing like if im playing Killing Floor on my PC i like to break out my playlist called "epic music" lame name i know hehe but its full of a ton of different fast paced rock/metal music. In my opinion, if certain games did not have the music they have in them then they would feel a lot more empty. Mass Effect is a good example of this because of stuff like the romance scenes and when youre up against your final challenges. Certain music while youre playing a game have made for some of the most fun gaming experiences ive ever had

I'm a hip hop kind of guy I love fast music and it must be loud as well, right now my favorite is the weekend one of those nights.

I've been on a HUGE Jay-Z kick lately. I love his new CD. I go through different phases where I just listen to someone's entire discography. Oh and I'm really big on Cover songs right now too. Powerman 5000 has a great CD out of covers.
