Xbox One Thoughts on PS4 selling 4.2 million VS Xbox One selling 3 million

I've seen quite a few people switching over to PS4, which may contribute to these numbers. Also, it seems like quite a few Xbox users are still on 360, where as more PS3 users switched to PS4. Price may have also contributed to this.

Yeah price is a big factor in deciding what to buy and what's more is that there are more PS3 users and lovers around the world who definitely switched over to PS4.

We know for a fact that PS4 is way cheaper than Xbox One, but I am happy with this console because it has more functions than PS4.

I personally think the competition will push Microsoft ot be more competitive and more cutting edge, without competiion monopolies are formed

Well, PS4 was released earlier, so it will hold a lead in sales for a little while. The long game for this generation's consoles hasn't yet unfolded, as both machines are quite young still. Even with all that said though, I still would wager PS4 outsells XB1 in the long run.

Judging from the popularity of the playstation series all over the world I guess you're right. But if microsoft goes all out they might outsell sony.

The fact that Sony has a lot of countries to sell their products make them more effective in the sales industry.

I think it's a brand loyalty thing rather than a better system thing. Think about it, PS was one of the first ones on the scene with a non-cartridge based, realistic gaming system. Those that got the PS1 were hooked and the PS2 was one of the best systems ever released...you add on top of that the issues with the RROD with the orignial Xbox systems and there you have it..people have been hesitant about making the plunge to Xbox. But I think that as Xbox continues to prove itself in the marketplace then more and more folks will make the switch.
